Christus Victor

Making Christ Known

We are an Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) congregation growing in the likeness of Christ by:

Worshiping, praying, and studying God’s word;
Being together with other people; and
Acting in faith through words and deeds both inside and outside our church walls.

Regular Worship Services at Christus Victor

Christus Victor has a warm and inviting atmosphere which encourages spiritual growth and welcomes everyone.  Each of the three services at Christus Victor offers a different style of worship.

Saturday, 5:00 pm

The 5:00 p.m. Saturday service is a blend of traditional and contemporary.  The pastors do not robe for this service and the liturgy is less structured.  This service is also slightly shorter than the Sunday services.  A song leader and a pianist provide the music at this service.

Sunday, 9:15 am

The 9:15 Sunday service is a contemporary service featuring the praise band RiZen.  The pastors also do not robe for this service.  The 9:15 service includes the children's sermon, after which the children leave for Sunday School.  A supervised nursery is available during the 9:15 service.

Sunday, 10:45 am

The 10:45 Sunday service is a traditional Lutheran service.  The pastors robe for this service.  The Chancel Choir, its accompanist and the church organist provide the music for this service.  The Joy Bells and the Revelation Brass also perform for this service as well as the Saturday service.  Both the 9:15 and 10:45 services last approximately one hour.

Communion is offered at all services.
