VBS 2026 – Rainforest Falls Nightly Recap
We are so excited to welcome your kids for a week filled with fun, faith, and Rainforest adventure at Christus Victor Lutheran Church.
We can't wait to see you Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 5:00 for dinner or 5:30 for drop-off. Let the Exploration begin!

Arrival, Check-In & Check-Out
Optional Dinner (free-will donation) is served from 5:00–5:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall. If you have a food donation, please plan to drop it off by 4:45pm (earlier would be much appreciated).
VBS begins at 5:30 PM sharp. Parents must stay in the sanctuary with their child until their group leader arrives and checks them in. We encourage parents to stay for the short opening each night for announcements and reminders.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to sign out your child(ren). Please note that children will not be allowed to leave with older siblings; a parent or adult guardian must sign out each child.

Dinner & Snacks
We'll be offering dinner each night before VBS, as well as a fun snack during the evening! If your child has food allergies and may feel left out, feel free to send an approved dinner or snack from home.
Tuesday
Tacos, Mexican Rice, SunButter and Jelly Sandwiches, Assorted Desserts
Wednesday
Hot Dogs, Chips, SunButter and Jelly Sandwiches, Ice Cream Bar
Thursday
Pizza, Salad, SunButter and Jelly Sandwiches, Assorted Desserts
Friday
Family Potluck with Grilled Hamburgers & Hot Dogs
Snack (served during VBS, Tue–Thu)
Goldfish and Pirate's Booty
Water stations will be available each night to keep everyone hydrated.
Friday Family Potluck Sign-Up
Tuesday–Thursday from 5:00–5:30 PM, families are invited to eat dinner together in the Fellowship Hall before kids head off to VBS. On Friday, we close the week with a family potluck for everyone.
If you're able to bring a dish for Friday's potluck, please sign up below:
Online sign-ups are paused right now while we add tonight's paper sign-ups to the list. Please check back after 9:30 PM, or use the paper sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall.
Junior Leader Car Wash – Wednesday
Our Junior Leaders (Grades 5–7) are working hard this week to raise money for Sunday School. We'll use the money to purchase supplies the kids have been asking for all year — more modeling clay, paint, silly shape scissors, stickers, new games, and much more!
Help us make this the best car wash yet — tell your family, friends, and neighbors! The more cars we wash, the more we can do for our Sunday School kids this year.
There are three easy ways to donate:
1. Come get your car washed and give a free-will donation in cash or check
2. Zelle — send to finance@cvlutheran.org
3. Vanco — give online at our Car Wash giving page
Junior Leader Families — please make sure your child:
Wears clothes that can get wet and messy
Brings a refillable water bottle (we'll have a cooler for refills)
We are also in need of extra chaperones — especially a few tall volunteers to help wash the tops of cars!
Bubble Mania – Thursday Night
Thursday will end in a wet, wild and bubbly time with Wild Bill's Bubble Mania!
Please plan to have your child wear swimsuits or clothes they don't mind getting wet, and don't forget a towel. Send a change of clothes if needed — or consider walking/biking to church!
T-Shirts
Kids will receive their VBS t-shirts during Tuesday night check-in. Please have them wear their shirt each night — it helps our leaders spot their group at a glance, and it's a must for Friday's closing celebration!
Volunteers: Wear Your Crew Shirt
Returning Crew members — please wear your VBS Crew shirt from last year each night this week.
We have very limited Crew shirts left for anyone who still needs one. If you don't have one, please reach out to Kasandra ASAP at Kasandra.Pruyn@cvlutheran.org so we can check on your size before we run out.
