What is “Gather, Grow, Go?”
It’s The Core of Who We Are at Christus Victor!
Why the three circles?
At Christus Victor, we aspire to gather, grow, and go; and our aspirations all link together. Each of the circles contains a word that captures a vital part of our identity at Christus Victor:
Gather: Worship! We gather together to gain strength as a community who support and challenge each other, so that we may go back into the world as Christ’s followers, sharing Jesus’ love every day of the week.
Grow: Learn! We grow into becoming Jesus’ disciples as a daily adventure and within the context of communities on mission - doing good things for others and being responsible stewards as an outgrowth of what Jesus is doing in us.
Go: Serve! We go to participate in Jesus’ redemptive mission in the world, using our gifts to enter into God’s creative work of making the world a better place.
When the three circles come together…
The inside looks like the Trinity knot! We worship the triune: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit - Three in One.
The Christian fish symbol appears.
Circles never stop. There is unity, eternity, the continuum of how we Gather, Grow, Go!
Lastly, circles speak about community: People being listened to, people seeing the faces of one another. This is the heart of who we are at Christus Victor.
