Meet your High School Youth Ministry Coordinator - Brianna Zelm
I am a mom and teacher, living and working in Des Plaines, IL. I was born and raised in Evanston, IL and spent some time in Glenview during High School. I have also lived in Kalamazoo, MI, Sheffield, England, and a few neighborhoods of the city of Chicago. I graduated from DePaul University in 2011 and I have taught 4-8 grades for thirteen years. I teach middle school Family and Consumer Science (the re-defined Home Ec), and truly enjoy making connections and collaborating with students, families, and other educators. I enjoy traveling, nature walks, reading, knitting, sewing embroidery, and getting crafty. In my role as Youth Director, I hope to create opportunities for personal growth and engage high school youth in service projects and mission trips that allow them to actively practice service to others. As I have heard from many parents and youth already at Christus Victor, this hands-on experience can be transformative and provide a deeper understanding of the impact of serving others.
